Amazon.com is US employees' favorite shopping perk

Reward Gateway, the global leader in employee engagement, announces that Amazon.com Gift Card shopping rewards are its most popular perk on its shopping discounts portal for US employees.

Reward Gateway has built a strong relationship with Amazon.com in the USA, following a spectacular kick off in the UK trialling the reward scheme. Members can benefit from getting a fantastic five percent reward when ordering their Amazon.com Gift Card from the portal. Since this incentive was made available through Reward Gateway’s SmartSpending™ tool in July 2015, employees all across North America have taken advantage of it, spending more than $600,000 in the process - that’s more than a third (36%) of SmartSpending™‘s total US voucher sales. In doing so, they’ve put the Amazon.com Gift Card firmly in Reward Gateway’s Total Retail Spend Top 10.

In the US alone, more than 255,000 employees have access to SmartSpending™. Here, they can shop from a huge selection of Books, Electronics, Music, Movies, Software, Apparel, Toys, and much more.  The platform is used by the likes of Comcast, Heineken, Discovery Channel and Cummins, often as part of a wider employee engagement strategy.

As well as the Amazon.com Gift Card, customers using SmartSpending™ have access to discounts from over 2000 global retailers, and over 700 separate retailers in North America.

Nicole Alcantara, Reward Gateway’s Head of Retail Partnerships said, “Amazon.com is a huge hit with employees here in the US and is a permanent fixture on our Total Retail Spend Top 10. Employee perks are a powerful incentive to help build an engaged workforce. When approached as one part of a broader employee engagement plan, they can motivate a workforce, support a change in culture and be a good way to recognize and thank staff. Happy, engaged employees build better, stronger, more resilient organizations.”
